Job Description
Job Summary (List Format):
- Supervise design, development, and maintenance of Epic applications (Beacon/Willow/Optime).
- Lead and mentor a team, ensuring effective and efficient operations.
- Collaborate with end users to design, build, and enhance Epic workflows and system configurations.
- Manage staffing, capacity planning, and supervise direct reports.
- Lead small to medium application projects, including Epic upgrades and new functionality adoption.
- Provide Epic product expertise and technical/clinical consultation.
- Participate in workflow analysis, design, build, testing, and validation sessions.
- Ensure accurate and comprehensive system documentation is created and maintained.
- Monitor applications in production; provide incident support and 24/7 on-call coverage as needed.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of Epic software and operational workflows.
- Collaborate with trainers to develop and maintain training materials.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications; manage system updates and changes.
- Develop strong relationships with stakeholders and facilitate effective communication.
- Adhere to organizational standards for system configuration and change control.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues; escalate complex problems as appropriate.
- Utilize knowledge of clinical documentation, surgical workflows, and patient flow in healthcare settings.
- Demonstrate leadership, team management, and cross-team communication skills.
- Proficiency with tools such as Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Resource management and/or prior team lead experience required.
- Active/current Epic certification (Beacon and/or Willow); 5+ years Epic configuration experience or 7+ years clinical experience.
